Which meals are included in the (full board) accommodation?

Accommodation begins with dinner on the arrival day and ends with lunch on the last lecture's day.

The dates are:

Tutorial + Conference (20 AUG - 1 SEP)
Tutorial (20 - 25 AUG)
Conference (27 AUG - 1 SEP)

What are you planning for the tutorial? Would it be useful for students with little or no prior knowledge on selection principles?

The tutorial is highly recommended for all students. Even more than the conference, perhaps. There will be several minicourses starting from "zero": basic knowledge of general topology (topological spaces, compact spaces) and set theory (ordinal numbers, transfinite induction). Presently, three planned minicourses are planned:

  1. Introduction to selection principles,
  2. Selection principles and games, and
  3. Introduction to forcing theory and selection principles.
Only some of the lectures of the third minicourse may request some basic knowledge of set theory.

If the students did not yet learn the basics of ordinal numbers and transfinite induction, urge them to do so. This is the starting point of everything in set theoretic topology. Then, they will make most out of the tutorials.

In addition to the tutorial, the students will enjoy the presence of experts around, which they can approach and ask questions, and also meet students from other universities and establish their first academic connections. Highly recommended.
